The Dragon Boat Wiring only / no Speakers is a communication system designed specifically for dragon boat. This setup includes wiring only for dragon boats, allowing the Caller or coach to deliver instructions that can be heard clearly from front to back.

Please note: This does not include the three speakers. NK CoxBox® Systems are rated for a maximum of 3 speakers. Adding more than three speakers will overload the amplifier which will lead to permanent amplifier damage.

Dragon boat audio setup (simple explanation)

A dragon boat needs a communication sound system so the crew can hear the Caller clearly over water noise. Only one person can speak into the system while in use.

To make the System work, you need:

  • NK Speakers

These are mounted in the boat and project the Callers voice so all paddlers can hear instructions and timing.

  • NK Wiring / Harnessing

Connects all components together (speakers, headset, and control unit). Good wiring ensures clear, uninterrupted sound.

  • NK CoxBox® (Mini / GPS / CORE)

The main unit worn by the Caller. It amplifies the voice and sends it to the speakers.

  • NK Headset Microphone

Worn by the Caller to speak into the system. This captures their voice clearly, even in wind or movement.

How it works together?

The coxswain speaks into the headset →The CoxBox® amplifies the voice →The sound travels through the wiring/harnessing →The speakers broadcast it to the whole crew.

Please note: NK CoxBox® Systems are rated for a maximum of 3 speakers. Adding more than three speakers will overload the amplifier which will lead to permanent amplifier damage.
