The Mini is best for school crews, dragon boats, beginner coxswains, small clubs, or anyone on a tighter budget. It’s lightweight, simple, durable, and does the core jobs well — voice amplification — without extra complexity. It’s also good as a backup unit or for crews already using a separate SpeedCoach for performance data.
Audio Setup
To project sound to the crew, the CoxBox® Mini must be used with a compatible speaker harness system (speakers and wiring). This connects the unit to the boat’s speakers, allowing clear audio communication during training and racing.
