The CoxBox® R2 Auxiliary Input Adapter (2.5mm or 3.5mm) allows you to connect external audio devices to your CoxBox® R2 system, enabling additional audio input during training or events. Designed with a convenient Y-splitter connection, the adapter combines both microphone and auxiliary audio through the CoxBox® standard R2 microphone port.
Designed for compatibility with either a 2.5mm or 3.5mm connections, it provides a simple and reliable way to integrate devices such as radios or other audio sources into your CoxBox® setup.

Please note: The adapter does not prioritize one audio source over another. Both the microphone and auxiliary audio inputs will be transmitted simultaneously through the CoxBox speaker system.

CoxBox® R2 Auxiliary Input Adapter - How to use
Step-by-step
Turn the CoxBox and walkie-talkie off.
Unplug the CoxBox microphone from the microphone socket.
Plug the R2 Auxiliary Input Adapter into the CoxBox microphone port.
Plug the CoxBox microphone into one branch of the adapter.
Plug the walkie-talkie into the other branch using the correct 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm connector (depending on your radio model).
Turn on the CoxBox and the radio.
Set the walkie-talkie to a moderate volume and perform a radio check. Increase or decrease the radio volume until it is clear through the boat speakers.
During use
The coach speaks into their handheld radio.
The radio's received audio is sent into the CoxBox.
The crew hears both:
the coxswain through the CoxBox microphone, and
the coach through the walkie-talkie.
The coxswain does not need to press anything on the adapter.
